ok guys checking back the bike is in the shop gor general stuff. Looking hard at slip-ons for the new season. I want solid quality deep bass rumble (mean) same mounts as stock preferred. Narrowed it down to: Devils, Leo's and Staintune. Thoughts? I know it is subjective but open to ideas (videos and u-tube help but current owners better). Where is a good site to buy a pair and what is a god market $ to spend?

No one mentioned Yoshimura? I installed the full system with RS3 stainless canisters 10 years ago and never looked back. Durable for sure and sound and look great.

My Jardine RT-1's sound great, but they are not too loud.....I would ask that you take in to consideration the distance of your average trip on the bike. remember that although the crazy loud exhaust pipes may sound cool, will they be that cool after listening to them for over 200 miles?

I like my Microns that came with the bike from the PO. When around other sport bikes (typically I4s) it anounces I'm on something special.
Not to loud - I've never had a issue with their rumble while I'm riding.
If there is any down side they are quieter than all the Harleys and Vstars at work. Of course those all have straight pipes

I have Staintunes - I love them and they are not too loud, which is what I wanted. They are a bit expensive at $1,400 list, but the quality is top notch. I was lucky enough to get them cheaper off of ebay. Attached is a canned photo, not my bike. All three brands that you mentioned are excellent, you can't really go wrong.

I'm willing to bet my muffler is lighter, flows better, and imho sounds better than every exhaust on here. Granted, some people might not like how it looks!

OK, but I'll bet that my rear tire has more tread left on it than your's does.

I can believe that you muffler flows more, but I think that it would be an inaccurate statement to say that flow and hp are always related. I know this first hand from building mine.

I found a half price pair of Harpoons out of Spain a couple years ago. They sound better than two brothers and are more throaty and less annoying than the micron cans I had on there before. I would have to say if you want something easier to find that sounds great than you cant go wrong with a set of yoshi's.

You really, really should go find a twisty road and lean that bike over a bit... That tire has seen all to many highway miles... Flat in the middle and meat left on the shoulders... Or you have been doing a lot of burnies...

On the fun note, the bike sounds great, a bit concerned that that much flow might rob power, but I like the sound...

BTW, before you go surfing the twisties, swap that one for a fresh one... Those square edges ain't fun...

Scorpion high mounts with carbon fiber cans are my choice. I bought them from another forum member last year. It's louder than stock but not obnoxiously so. Sound is biased towards the bass end so it comes across as a rumble. Very good construction, though the upper mounting bracket could be more stylish. The best part: Scorpion and Staintune are the only cans (as far as I know) that don't need repacking. The weave on the carbon fiber is just too pretty for words and the Scorpion badge peels off if you want to go stealth.
