Bar modification w/ Brake and Clutch reservoir

So, I’ve been mulling over this Superbike bar modification for some time now. I began to look into the VFR bar option as well. I began to notice that the VFR has different reservoirs and then came the question. Can the Super Hawk reservoirs be swapped out for VFR type??? If yes, would this avoid the cutting of the fairing that is required when retaining the original type?

Fortunately, the reservoirs don't interfere with anything so you don't have to buy those too. They are inside the "bubble". It's the switch and/or throttle housings that hit.

BTW, that VFR is an 86/87 and those bars won't work (tiny 37mm).

Pro Taper bars.... Bling, I am thinking about using Pro Taper bars, do you have any comments or suggestions? Bad idea? Any bend more like the superbike bars you have there?

Re: Bar modification w/ Brake and Clutch reservoir

IIRC, taper bars are larger than the normal 7/8ths inch diameter in the middle and "taper" back to 7/8ths at the bar ends. Anybody know if this is correct? I'm sure this is common knowledge in the dirt bike world. If so, you'd need the corresponding sized risers.

The angle/rise on my bars are just about the absolute limit for the stock wiring/throttle cables. I had to readjust or reroute everything. I was just plain lucky when ordering in that regard.
