Anyone Modify the Horn?

Just wondering if anyone has swapped out the stock horn for something aftermarket (like an air horn)?
Once in a blue moon I hit the horn trying to go for the turn signal and it reminds me how freakin' wimpy it sounds.

compared to any other Japanese bikes, i think our horn is pretty nice

me thinks you could put a car/truck horn on there

anything that uses a electric current

The problem with car horns are their size, all auto or truck horns I have seen are thicker in size and diameter. Most are two horn systems. Airhorns are loud as sh** but require alot of air, ie: tank, compressor. You think in this day and age some one would make a small 12v horn that was super loud.
I did find this site http://www.bikerhiway.com/index.php?...FSLrPgodyzEIBA

That looks like it would work. Thanks for the research. Not a bad price either. Might have to give that a try.

barkmagnet, you are a genius! You subconciously remembered that I have a horrible problem about cancelling my turn signal. These people with the horn have a really seriously simple fix! Thank You!!!!!

The only negative about that horn was the weight. 2.2lbs.

If you buy that horn, let me know how it works. I always wanted to put a ear piercing horn on my bike but could never find any thing that was small and loud.

I got a Fiamm horn through Aerostich for about 15 or 20 bucks. They have two, a low and a high tone. I got the low tone. It's louder than the the stocker and sounds more like a car horn. It's a little bigger than the stock horn but will fit in the same space as the OEM unit. Hope this helps.

The Stebel is REALLY loud. One of the BMW riders I know from another forum has one on her bimmer, and it'll get your attention, that's for sure. I've been plotting on one, but just don't know exactly where to mount it.

I've got 3 stiebels On on each cage. They are DAMN loud and have yet to fail (going on 24 months now). I love em. If I could find a way/room to mount one on my Superhawk or my Lady's Ninja 250, I would in a heartbeat!

I pitched my horn and stayed out of traffic. I'd rather think about brakes than horns. But around town's another story. I liked the stock front turn signals though. Big and bright.
