About to pull the trigger on some slip-ons

I was going to get them today, but the shop said they'll be on sale Saturday. I had my mind made up that I was going to get the black D&Ds. Now I'm thinking the polished D&Ds or spend the extra money and get the Yoshis. The D&Ds are already more $$ than I want to spend though.

I've read/heard a bunch of opinions about the different brands, but everyone seems to agree that D&Ds are LOUDEST. Some people seem to think that Yoshimuras sound too "tuned" for a twin. Jardine's are in the same price range, but to me they look poorly made (which is another thing some people say about the D&Ds).

I don't think I'll mind loud. My last bike was a 900SS Ducati with a full 2into1 Staintune exhaust. THAT thing was LOUD. To this day it's still the best sounding motorcycle I've ever heard! One of my favorite things was winding it up right before going through an underpass and then choping the throttle inside.

I'm riding to Laguna Seca next month so I've got to do something soon!

Has anyone got pipes for sale??

It's a tough choice. I love my Yoshi's with Zyclone street baffles. Not too loud but one mean sound.
No matter what you get the bike will sound good.

I had Yoshi RS3's.... they sounded real nice.... I just put on Jardine High mounts (2" outlet Race Baffles)... haven't got it running yet to tell you the difference, but the Yoshi's definitly looked better in quality, they were very nicely made... they Jardines look a bit on the cheap side close up.

problem solved. remember those yoshis that went for $570 on ebay? apparently the buyer flaked and they were relisted. mine now, and I didn't pay $570 I'll tell ya that.

I have to admit I was kind of looking forward to hearing how obnoxious it sounds with D&Ds

just make a point to fire the bike up after you take the old pipes off but before you put the new pipes on. that's pretty close

StarCycle has them on their website as well as their Ebay store. I think their price is $504 for the SS set.
