Excellent job on the bikes! I love the single, under the seat exhaust! What kind of lower fairing is that Highlander?

@all: Yes the tail is from Yamaha R6.

You would think after owning a few German cars (VW) and wanting so many more (audi, BMW) I would learn to speak or at least read it. Where do I find a translator online? lol

Give Babelfish a try.

http://babelfish.altavista.com/

Being fluent in both english and german I have to say that it will give you the gist of a text but some of the details literally get lost in translation.

Highlander asked me to tell you that the bike is currently at a friends house where some more details are being addressed and that more pics will come when he picks the bike up next weekend.

the price was also not bad

Including the front light (what's the correct word ?) 810.- Euros.
With the stickers and colour the total amount was about 1300.- Euros
)must be something about 1000 Dollars)

And don't forget the work to get it fixed on the VTR

1300 Euros is closer to $1700 US, actually, but still. Gorgeous bike.

Hi guys,
I`m from the german forum too. I`m glad to be here it seems to be a nice place for a VTR owner . I must excuse my english too -like highlander-
but i`m looking forward to become mor familiar with all the bike specific words when i wiil read more here in this forum....
My mods are not so extreme as highlanders are but some changes i have also made:
Front fork from CBR900 USD
Brembo radial braking pump
rear fairing (rebuild by myself)
gilles rearsets
and some other small things
second picture is my bike on a racetrack this year in Poland

hyperlite - WELCOME to SHF!

Question - which undertail is on your bike? Did you custom make that also or is it aftermarket (maybe PowerBronze?)?

Your bike looks great!

Reinske, that bike is sick! I really like the polished swing arm. Was that hard to do?

Thanks,

That's the 945RR correct?

I'm just curios... I'm gathering parts for a swap myself... Where can I find info on those forkbridges?

THX,

I didn't polish the swing arm on my own. In Germany you are not allowed to polish your suspension and frame parts. The TUV ( is something like a technical supervisor for all the street vehicles ) doesn't allow this, cause if you polish it yourself and it gets too hot, the weldings around ( sorry, no vocabulary... ) might break. So I gave it to a Costumizer, who compressed, polished and sealed it. So the weldings were not harmed and the polished surface won't get dull. Sounds complicated, but it's not too expensive. Did that to the swing arm, the forks ( upper side ), the rims and the exhausts... Costs about 400€ ( about 600$ ) altogether...

I don't know about 945RR, in Germany the Honda producht key is SC50, sorry.

For the forkbridges, try this: www.bkg-motorradzubehoer.de

They are made for the Fireblade, but the VTR front frame is the same. So it fits without any trouble... Plug and Play...
