Thumbs up T-Rex Racing Group Buy

Hannah in Customer Service has offered 10% off the T-Rex Racing no cut frame sliders for the Superhawk provided we purchase a minimum 10 units.

The current price for the frame sliders are $49.95, http://t-rex-racing.com/catalog.php?category=29. Superhawk forum members will get 10% off before shipping.

I have had a pair on my hawk for the last two years and I have been very happy with the performance of these sliders.

I would like to see what our interest is in the frame sliders by next Friday, July 24th.

The 10% is available for the other items that T-Rex Racing sells provided we can get a minimum 10 units ordered.

Just purchased a set last month to replace the ones that sacrificed themselves for my knee's sake..

Worth every penny, even at full price.

I got the really small "fairing protectors" offa epay - not sure if they'd really do much of anything besides a garage/parking lot tipover...they rely on the stamped steel fairing supports as anchor points...but being 6'3" w/ a 36" inseam I thought the frame mounted ones would cramp me up further...

I'm 6'3" as well and I have room to spare with them mounted... I wouldn't think youd have any problems either...

I count 3: rhorsley, afm528 and j shizzy wizzy. However, I need them to be on my bike by 9/7/09 for a trackday the following week. Any chance we'll make it?

I count 4 including Reaper himself (assuming he's buying since he started the thread). And I need a new set after my lowside so I'm in for set as well; Which brings it to 5 total now.

I was gonna go haves with Lowell but we both need that left side bolt so I might as well get a new pair.

Actually I already have a set. I had contacted them about an issue with one of the sliders and poised the question about a group buy and they were receptive.

I have personally put these to use and the sliders work phenomenally.
T-Rex has changed the design of the sliders making it beefier thus reducing the inside diameter of the slider to 11/16" from 1 1/16". They have also changed to an allen head bolt instead of the hex bolt. You cannot get a socket into the redesigned slider. So if you are thinking to replace only one, it would be better to get a new set as the appearance of the slider is slightly different as well.

So the count now is four, rhorsley, afm528 and j shizzy wizzy, Motoman and Byrdman.

Getting the sliders by 9/07 will not be a problem.

So out of all the new and existing members, we have a grand total of 5 that need frame sliders?!?

For those of us that have actually put them to use, it is very inexpensive insurance to have for the bike.

How good do these look on the Hawks? I may be interested here shortly, depending on cash flow.

Check out this thread to see how they look in action. I've got LSL frame sliders and I'm not sure I could lay my bike over like that without crunching a fairing corner.

Yeah, that's a big help, thanks Syclone. Lemme see where money is at here in the next week or so. Have a canoe trip coming up that has been planned for a little bit. When were we looking to do this? I looked at the prices at the local Harley shop, a real good guy owns and runs it gives me a little flack for my VTX but none for the Hawk, his were cheaper but the quality is cheaper as well.

reaper - Will they give discounts for the RC51 sliders he is asking about now that we have 10 minimum VTR sliders, or do you have have to buy 10 of whatever you want a discount on?
