Radiator grill removal and paint

Does the radiator grill on the sides just pop off by pulling up and out over the black tabs?

Yep,

I painted mine black 3 or 4 years ago, looks much tricker than the std. aluminum look

Easy to do if you already have the plastic off.

Got 'em off pretty easy. Putting them back on required me to remove the 2 allen-wrench bolts and one behind the faring.

There is no reason why you couldn't paint the radiators too if you wanted to.

Actually, this is potentially stupid advice. Don't take it if you don't know exactly what you are doing.
