Powerbronze undertail

I ordered a Powerbronze undertail for my hawk to rectify the cheap fender delete installed by a previous owner( it should arrive next week). From photos I have seen it looks as if there is a hole for a key to presumbly replace the original seat unlock. When I got this bike the key portion was already gone (I only have a cable). Will I need an oem part to replace the key cylinder mechanism? Will a simple truck toolbox lock work? I have no idea what the original setup looked like so I am trying to figure out how it worked originally and what I will need to make it function with this new setup. I don't mind having a different key for the tail lock and the ignition. Thanks for any help.

Here's what it looks like with a stock lock assembly and the Power Bronze Tail. If I remember right, the hole for the lock was already there, so finding another lock assembly the right size and depth might be a little hard.

If you get a new lockset through a Honda dealer, you will need to get it keyed to the rest of your bike if you don't want another key to carry around.

Thank you CruxGNZ that is exactly what I needed to know!! It looks like I need the lock set and the bracket(unless it is all one piece) which holds the cable sleeve. From your post I assume these are still available to buy? Thanks again for clearing this up for me.

CruxGNZ, that would be your Datsun in the photo background. Too cool.
