New Sharkskin Lower Fairing
Hey everyone. I don't talk much, but this forum has been a very valuable resource lately. Just thought I'd share my new sharkskin lower with you guys:
Painted this weekend with Colorrite's honda R157 Italian Red. The match nearly perfect.
Also, am I the youngest hawk rider around? I'm a meek teenager. 17.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone
I got the lower from the guys at http://www.sharkskinz.com/
They're based in Florida I believe.
After witnessing some pretty sweet lower fairings, I decided to give sharkskinz a shot. I just love the look it gives!
I'm thinking about ordering their inner fender for a new project. I'd like to do something with the tail section and the hulky turn signals. Maybe even move the license plate.

Used 2 cans of the 'required' base, and 2 cans of red. I have one left over that I'm going to use to re-color my hugger.. the red is slightly off. It looks orange when placed in bright sunlight

OMG it is! Looks like a BJ8. I'm in the process of restoring a '67. Small world, two guys with both a Healey and a Super Hawk. You're not on the British Car Forum or Team.net are you?

Man I'm 21 and figured I'd take the title considering the type of bike the hawk is.
How much did you drop on those fairings??? If you decide to paint the rest to get that new look and perfect match you'll probably be happy with the result. Painting unabused plastic is easy. Hardly any prep (primer is not really necessary with nearly identical colors). Just scuff, clean and give is a couple coats.
