Yeah T-dogg u r right. Are we ever finished?
The answer is not by a long shot. Since it is mechanically "stock" I'm going to ride it around for a bit. But then the next phase. Engine mods. Definately not the fastest thing around, nor will it ever be, but I cant resist the urge to do some engine work. i.e. cams, pistons, con rods, jets, exaust, etc. But since the weather in Houston is almost always good for riding, and it already runs decent, Im not in a big hurry. Atleast until the novelty wears off....

Thanks guys. And T-dogg, u r absolutely correct. It is far from done. The cosmetics are about there. Performance wise, not even close. Got big plans. Cams, jet kit, different exaust , the list goes on. But for now, even in stock engine form, it has enough for me to challenge the "less skilled" riders in any situation. Had a blast today showing it off. (o.k. thats vain). But not one single person accurately guessed what it really is. (lots of rc51 guesses) And No one would beleive me when I told them that I modified it to look like it does. Everyone thought it was some kind of "factory Honda" Yeah, I know, obviously not a superhawk man in the crowd.....

that's what I was thinking. You've changed so much in terms of body, color scheme and pipe that it is difficult to get through all those distractors to figure out what it is. Are you goin to label it Superhawk or just go on with the guessing game?

you need to take a deep breath before you take pics or get a better camera to do your beautiful work justice, or maybe my glasses are greasy.huh

Awesome job though! Quite an interesting combination and paint scheme. I have a fondness for red , white and green, probably cause I'm full-blooded wop.haha I believe the Italian marques resist the RWG paint schemes so as to keep an international flavor and not be perceived as touting their national flag.

And yet.. superhawk tank, frame, motor, radiators... it's still very much there, just sort of more aggressive.. like a concept bike before a committee gets ahold of it...

Edit: I think this bike is awesome

same back at ya with the hoho wishes wild hair!
You want gas huh?
make some chili: put a bag of kidney beans, a bag of black beans, and a bag of white beans, two large cans of red ripe tomatoes, some chiles, and a couple pounds of ground beef and a bunch of garlic and pepper and salt, and cook for 3 hrs. Eat with minimal chewing, like wolfing it in ya know. Drink a case of beer. Then you will have a full tank of gas, i.e., at least enough to heat your house for a couple days.

If you want to ride instead, grab your lighter, pull your pants off, jump on your bike and light that gas.

Ha Ha. Thats funny as hell. That sounds like breakfast of champions. Chili sticks to your ribs. And your shorts if your not careful. The question was asked wether or not I was going to install Superhawk decals, or keep the mystery going. I have some RC211V decals that I'm gonna modify to read RC V. Custom bike, custom badge. Right? I dont know, is that too pretentious? I kinda want to keep em guessing. It's getting all kinds of attention every where I go. Especially from the Honda guys. One guy Nailed it. Yeah, Im a big BIMOTA fan. That was alot of the inspiration for this project. I cant afford one, so next best thing, Take what you have, and make what you need. (That statement personifies this project). In a way even more exclusive because there is only one like it on the planet (so far). Another question was, am I going to detail the build. Well, unfortunately, I didnt take pics during the major points of the build. So, that ship sailed. But, I am more than happy to give a written account of the mods and how they were done, parts used, methods etc, supported by real time pics if enough people show interest. Keep in mind, I'm not in any way a professional mechanic, or builder. So, the work was done in very spartan surroundings, and with basic tools. And basic skills as well. But I'm happy with it. Thank you to all who have given words of encouragement. I makes me feel WHEELIE good.....Now, wheres the chili and BEER!!!! Lets ROCK!!!!

I think it would be in the spirit of the forum to detail your mods in terms of helping others with similar changes and what they might run into.

If you are into Bimota, quit screwing around. Slap a Bimota decal or have it painted on there in honor of your efforts and the inspiration you acquired from Bimota. You can always scribble "wannabe" under the seat if it bothers you, kinda like crossing your fingers behind your back when you were little. Who gives a **** how others perceive this gesture. If you feel it, it's right. It's your bike, your project, your creativity, your money, and your perseverance. After all, the end product would not be if not for this inspiration, this love of Bimota and what it means to you.

Thanks nath. I think I'm gonna go ahead with the RCV decals. Also, I had to re-do the exaust so I took Tweety and just nicks advice and ran the can with the angle of the tail. Beefed up the hanger with a thicker peice of stainless round stock too. I must admit, it looks better. Much more solid. I'm gonna start workin on some details on the work. It might take me a minute, but it is comming in the not too distant future.

that's good. i always preferred the looks of the exhaust that ran parallel to the rear too. Good to hear your going to provide us some of the specifics of your mods.
