More streetfighter ideas...
Greetings folks. Newbie member here from the UK
I've seen a couple of interesting threads on this forum for streetfighter conversions, from mild mods to ground-up rebuilds, so thought I'd throw in some ideas from the fighter I built a couple of years ago.
I've read Revelation's thread on his streetfighter - man, you've really gone to town on that machine! Some really fantastic ideas, particularly the Tuono seat unit, which I nearly went for but I chose to go the Ducati route instead.
For anyone interested, there's a thread running on the UK-based VTR1000.org site with a whole stack of info on my build for anyone that's interested. Go to http://www.vtr1000.org/ and look for the "Tango'd Storm" thread in the "Pimp Your Ride" category.
More pics available if anyone wants them.
Cheers

Wow! I love it! That color is awesome. I read the three pages on VTR1000.org in hopes that you would show how you made the clear clutch cover. So, what kind of plastic did you use for the window?
Awesome job man.
And, we would all like more pictures.

^this one's a silent vid
There's a mini write up on this forum by a guy named maverik with some pics under the title "window on vtr" or something along those lines.
The material is Lexan... it doesn't color from heat/sun. Holds up well and surprisingly the oil cleans it from the inside so it stays very clear!
Not trying to threadjack scubadog! I love your build, I admired many a time searching through streetfighter VTRs

Wow I'm not a huge streetfighter guy (probably in part to the fact that the term gets way overused for every wrecked bike with no fairings on it) but that bike is beautiful. Nice job it looks like a ton of work went into it.

Awesome man! I was thinking that the material being used might be lexan. Thanks. What did you use to seal it? Just use some red RTV, or did ya use an exacto knife and cut out a cork gasket? That yellow powder coating is holding up alright with the heat and oil enviroment?
