Modifying the tail section of my VTR

So, I am now collecting parts. Planning on installing a 2004 CBR1000RR rear. Still waiting on the fender. If everything goes together, which I think it will, I will pick up some lights and more to complete it.

But I think that it should be an attractive modification.

I'm interested to see how the lines pull together with the curves of the SH and the more rigid straights of the CBR. Should look good though.

I was parked next to a '06(?) Kawi 650R with the split seats and I had an irking to see what would happen if you put one of those on. Lines seemed to match nicely!

Keep us updated!

Shocking photo...The tail is actually 25mm past the tyre
And top of tail to ground level is 1 metre
Wanted to go shorter ,but issues with the seat and oem undertray and battery. And their is stuff all space for electrics.
The 08 cbr tail looks alot better
Have fun doing this mod,I did

inderocker is an unknown quantity at this point
What about a 2008-up CBR1000RR tail? It's nice and short and doesn't have provisions for an undertail exhaust. It's a mod I've always wanted to atleast mock up... but I still haven't come across an 08' CBR1000RR to do so.
