Mirror Extenders

I keep getting members asking me about these mirror extenders. A member on the old RLZ SuperHawk Foruym made a batch for members way i guess 7 or 8 years ago.

If there are any machinists on here that want to tackle making some for other members i would gladly send them some close up pics and measurements.

And no i am not reducing the picture size, if you don't like it, move on!

There's a guy over on the Hawklist who might give it a go...if we make it worth his while?
I have a suspicion they might be a little pricey, though. How much were the ones Don made?

These appear to be two sets of stalks machined to be rejoined at opposite ends? If so I have a spare pair of mirrors and if we find a machinist I am going for a set of these.

Count me in, too -- I'm tired of seeing my elbows in the mirrors.

Has anyone tried these? They're supposed to push the mirrors out one inch.

funny man, fellow hometown Pittsburgher... concentrate on the Steelers improving beyond 3-2 . you might learn what stalkiness is by watching american sports. look for the tall guys with muscles, not the fat boys on the line.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. Just can't bring myself to spend that much for so little.

I work at a full cnc machine shop and we make parts for the aerospace industry so these should be interesting or maybe I can work up something similar. Send me some specs and pics to archaicguy70@yahoo.com

Well, I FINALLY got them just before New Year. Look fine. I'll try to get off my butt tomorrow and put them on and take a few pics. Communication from the seller wasn't the best, but they did let me know they were backordered, so it's all good there.

From another post it sounds like they went up in price?

Ok this is where I'm at with the extenders.....Will add nearly 2" additional length. All I need to do is some drilling and tapping. Considering powder coating also. I do have a gloss black powder coat that I will probably do mine in.

Is there a option for the group, to have access to buy a set of extenders?

I agree! Nicely done. I'm a little concerned about the weight difference. Do you have a way to check the weight of the modded setup and compare it to the stock setup? Thanks!
