Lower Cowling?

I've had my VTR new since 99 and wish I had this forum back then. Wasn't too much info / experience on them then compared to now! Anyways, I have a blk and carbon theme on my bike and would like a carbon lower cowling or some call it a belly pan. Anyone know of a source or web site I might be able to see / obtain one?

I dont really want a lower fairing but would be willing to look at them too if anyone knows of any.. Thanks for any help.

SPRCKN, Thanks.. I did see that earlier. I'm really looking for a seperat CF pan. More coverage than the dumb factory one but not as much as a full lower.

I saw a picture of a bad *** track VTR a few years back that had one (unpainted carbon everything) but couldn't find a source to purchase the pan. It also had the CF engine side cover caps that I believe is just silicon RTVed on. I would like to find those too.

If I have no luck maybe I'll relook into the mario lower. Thanks again-

By the way, it is carbon fiber. If you decide to buy it, don't be discouraged by how long it takes to be delivered. It's coming from Japan. It took mine about six to eight weeks to get to my door. Actually, the belly pan in the picture is the second one I bought. The first one I bought I had painted to match the bike, but installed it wrong and put a hole through it from the exhaust pipe. The directions are in Japanese and I thought that I was supposed to remove the stock lower cowl, but the leave the belly pan too close to the exhaust. Kind of sucked cost me about $500. Anyway, happy hunting!

SPRHAWK Neil- I've had the scotts dampner for about 10 years now and I love it. I have adapters mounted on my other bikes (on and offroad) and just swamp the damper to which ever bike I want. I could buy more dampers but they are expensive and its just two allen bolts to remove/install- takes 30 seconds to change out. I have never had an issue with headshake (street wise) on the VTR so I cant say its worth it for the VTR unless you find yourself on the track and pushing the bikes limits.. I do swear by it for all offroad applications. Mike and Jack Lafferty put me on it when I lived (not by choice) (uncle Sam forced)in souther Jersey (Mike rides for KTM). Riding Endurance events on a M/C is where it pays off. Reduces arm fatigue / head shake / impacts from tree, etc.

Davidh1172- Cool thanks, I really like the looks of that one- Its not the one I saw but very close. I will definately put that one on the top of the list. I can't tell in the picture but is it a STD small weave stlye of CF? Thanks!

We have a mob here in Australia that do a nice one and in various carbon colours as well.

They should ship overseas as well. Check out:
