Cool Hona Side Light (a.K.a The 3rd eye)

what type of bulb is it that fits in the horrible 3rd eye?

im thinking of either a nice blue tinted led blub or something along the lines of this...

KITT < YOU TUBE

8 Channel PWM LED Chaser < YOU TUBE

has any one done this on the Firestorm?

obviously I wouldn't be using blue LED's I don't want officer dibble giving me more hassle

id like to be able to buy the fairing like this and have a special screen,

I'm not going to be an ******* and say "DO A SEARCH", so here you go: https://www.superhawkforum.com/forum...ad.php?t=18564

The owner of the bike you posted did a custom job on the body and found a windscreen to fill in the gap that the "3rd Eye" left...I think.

It's just a standard 194 spade bulb. There are tons of LEDs that fit right in.

If you're talking about TripageLED.com's True Third Eye Plug n Play, they need to know the direction of the plug. If you remove the lens cover, you can see if the matal is vertical or horizontal.

I'm thinking about adding these as well, but right now I'm working on the bike's body. At first I wanted the Knight Rider Lite, but getting pulled over and getting a fix-it ticket is not fun. Especially the part where you get pulled over.

Advance Auto Parts sell a pair for like $11. Just be aware that only white or amber bulbs are legal in the front of the bike. I HAD a cool red one, but a nice officer made me remove it.

Well if anyone is interested, I am making mine into a running(stock)/KITT third eye. It will be a functioning running light when well... running. When the bike ignition is off, It will kick on like KITT, and will be switched so that if you really didn't want it on, it won't be.

That sounds interesting. Are you building it, or is there a kit to buy?

As mentioned above, I modified the OEM fairing and then had a screen made to suit. I think it is a nice mod, however it does require repainting the fairing. In my case I was doing that anyway.

I actually have a set of halogen lights that one would fit in the space as an aux headlight but I am concerned about the heat output.

I saw the KITT light and had to have one, checked the price could not justify cost. I just finished making one myself 8 super bright LED running lights and 7 scrolling KITT LEDs I plan to wire to only light red LEDs ignition off to prevent problems with police. I would consider making more and offering them on the forum, if I can sort out two concerns. 1. I don't know if there is a copyright or patent on the ones already available. 2. I would need to find LED supplier as prototype cost was nearly $2.00 per LED.
