romile55 - IIRC the belly pan is a Pyramid Plastics one.

Whilst I havent been up to much lately, I did manage to rope one of my mates to put my bike on his dyno. He used to race karts back in the day and just so happened to have a dyno locked away :thumbup:
He was tuning some karts when I got there one of which made just over 60bhp (not bad for a 200cc - I think- 2stroke!)

A very solid 104.51hp!! Considering I have a single sided exhaust on and according to other experiences of such mods I was expecting around 80-90hp it has surprised me very much!!

WELL HAPPY!!!!

Looking at the chart I've got a flat spot in the power around 6k rpm. Any ideas what this could be down to? I have noticed a bit of a stutter previously but seeing it on the chart kinda shows it for what it is.

My only real "problem" is I have no idea what mods have been done to the carbs (if any). Think my mate wants to the carbs down to see what jets are in there with a view to a DJ kit or similar. Any other suggestions? 8)

Update 2....
Been busy with an angle grinder. I would love to explain how I did it but it involved lots of measuring, chopping, drilling and bolting.

Sorry the pics are in the dark but by the time I'd stopped to get some it was a bit late lol (the new neighbours love me!! )

As it's work in progress, I've still gotta dress it all up. Cut some more of the subfame back nearest the tank so it looks a bit better than just a straight cut and then give it a good clean and rub down and either a spray with satin black or take it to the PC's to get it coated gloss black. Properly happy with the way it's turned out...and the only problems I think I may run into are having to put the low Micron GP style can on (neighbours will have to get used to the noise) and how I am going to fit the rear lights and plate holder. I'm sure all of that will be a piece of **** compared to what I've been through to get the frame and plastics on though

One day I may be happy with the ******* thing during riding season?!?! lol

Why with the R6 tail section? It just looks out of place being none of the lines are similar. Not to mention it kind of reminds me of putting a SBC in a Mustang. At least it looks like you're doing a decent job with it.

There aren't really that many lines to follow as I've removed the front fairings lol
The original tail looks dated and bulbous whereas an R6 one looks more angular and a lot more modern. No other reason for it at all tbh. Plus seeing as though I had to basically fab up new mounting points to connect the new frame it has allowed me to raise the seat by a good couple of inches without changing the suspension geometry. Also I can sit on the seat and not feel like my knees and ankles are gonna fall off because they were cramped up so badly. Win win for me

That looks sick, where did you pick up those lights/brackets?
also what year bike can you use that yolk/triple tree clamp (whatever you call it) from, I, thinking of taking the front fairing off my bike, and that is the cleanest way Ive seen of doing it

Cheers buddy. I havent done any of this to impress anybody, it's all for me...but, when somebody thinks it looks good I must admit its a good feeling

Pretty much everything after-market is from ebay. The brackets, lights, fairings, relays, brakes, battery, subframe top yoke etc etc. The list goes on and on and on lol

I think the yoke is from a 93 CB400S4...I found it quite difficult to get my hands on one and in the end I just fell lucky (twice actually as I've bought 2 just in case I have any probs with the yokes I've always got a spare )

I looked on ebay for one of those parts off a cb400s4, only parts i found were fork seals, and oil filters, I can get one from a regular cb400, anyone know what ones will interchange, I want to start collecting parts to do it.

To be honestest with the low powered bulbs that came with them (same as the standard single in the headlight) I struggled ith night time riding...I would like to think that adding the relays and higher output bulbs there will be a notices le improvement. However I never took a picture to do a before and after comparison.

Left to do...
Mount the new battery and fit new battery lines, rewire the headlights, put in tall stack, replace bolts on subframe with new ones (used the old ones and "spares" to trial mount), decide which exhaust I'm gonna use and tidy/replace where needed, get it running so I can adjust MCCTs, mount the rear lights and make quick change wiring harness, fit the new plate (7" x 5" oooops lol) and give it a service.

Not much then
