Cracked Headlight Reflector - Why? Help!
So I recently found that my headlight reflector is cracked from the leading edge all the way to the center hole where the bulb is. I have no idea why this happened, and I'm trying to figure out the reason. As most of you know I took my bike nearly completely apart this winter to powder coat the frame. It is now all back together, and this crack appears to have occurred after reassembly.
I've been thinking about it, and I'm wondering if I have the faring brackets on backwards, causing a lot of stress on the headlight. What I mean is, I'm wondering if the brackets are pulling the faring back into the headlight mounting bracket really hard, and causing more shock than the factory intended.
If anyone has any insight as to why this happened, I would greatly appreciate it.

Really? I have a 2001. Wonder when they changed it?
I can't believe wheelies caused this... Simply because I refuse to stop doing wheelies.
I only do power wheelies, and let the front end down gently. Fork seals are fine, which is further proof that i'm somewhat gentle.
Any ideas?

From the first picture, it looks like the bulb is right on the reflector. Should it not be recessed into the black plastic backing behind the reflector?
Just looks like its in too far to me.
Could be the retaining spring is putting pressure directly on the reflector.
