Updated, but not much done.
Devil exhaust labels, ASV shorty levers, CBR1000RR frame sliders.
Frame slider mounts will be black soon, along with the oil cooler in the front.
Still waiting to get some scratch together to send out a F4i rear shock to JD for the conversion.
It is raining here in Wa. and it will for the next 4-5 months. I'm sure I'll find more things to "tweak".
Thinking about installing some freestyle ingenuity risers to get the bars up a little higher. It will also make the risers wider so I can install a scott's below and between....

How's the cooling working out? I know that the fan would be more effective if it were on the underside but I don't know about the clearances. A little saying from my Navy Mechanic training, "It's easier to suck than blow.", which is why you always find the radiator fans on cars downwind of the rad.

Well, I have only ridden it a couple of times this summer. The highest temp I saw was 217F. Not bad. I plan to cut out and install mesh to the rear cowl similar to Kai Ju's bike.
The radiator I had custom made. It is extra thick for more volume, and made of brass to add as a heat sink. We'll see just how much cooler it runs with the venting in place.
I thought of adding a couple of small fans behind the venting to draw cool air in and then the pusher fan above the rad will direct the air down and through the rad/out the bike. The fan now not on a manual switch. It does cycle more than a std hawk, but I have not had any issues in the mild Northwest climate.

How hot was it outside when you saw 217? I was stuck in some shitty traffic on a 94 degree day and I saw 243 before I shut it down to stop and get a drink. I have the two stock radiators on the side.

It was in the mid 80's. I was in town stop and go traffic. Fuel injected VFRs, CBRs, commonly run in the 220's. Sometimes even 235 ish. I don't know what Superhawks generally run at so I am trying to keep it a pinch below the injected models. They are set up to run lean, hot, for emissions. I would also like to not run the fan too much. I think it is good now, but I know it can be better.

dont worry man, you're in the same ball park as guys who remove the fairings but leave the two rads on the side...
without the fairings there is a drastic reduction of airflow through the rads as now the rads basically cut through the air in as aerodynamic way as possible, which for rads, is a bad thing.
my ninja fairings dont match up on the rads either, and i've noticed the bike gets hot faster and actually the fan cycles even though i dont sit in traffic.
adding two 12cm computer fans on the left radiator solved this problem. they are connected to run all the time. minimal draw.

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong it looks great on there. I'm used to seeing the mini projector lookin lights on naked/fighter bikes, and I'm glad he chose to go with a bigger round one. Just looks better than the mini projector ones in my opinion.

919 brake master has built in mirror mount, 94-95 CB1000 Clutch master has built in mirror mounts. I'll have to look at the Rizoma website/products to see what you are talking about. Are they going onto a bike with clip-ons or handlebars?
