This bike has come a long way! I knew very little about motorcycles in general, and it was basically built because of this forum. The advice and ideas around here allowed me to make a mechanically sound and functioning machine

Nice! Hiding the radiators under the tail really helps your bike stand out among other naked Superhawks. Is that some sort of mesh material under the passenger seat area to help airflow to the radiator? Looks great!

Yep, it's a mesh material- not a super free flowing one, but I can replace it if that becomes a problem. The single radiator/under tail setup has actually been working better than I expected here in Phoenix. I'm more limited by my tolerance of the heat than the bike. Haven't done any long high speed trips yet, which I think will be most taxing. I have to give credit where it's due, too- this is very similar to a setup that member Kai Ju created a few years ago, and he was very open in sharing his knowledge!

I was supposed to enter last month but got busy with work and hadn't taken the time to clean her up. I bought her a couple months ago as a daily rider and have fallen in love. It's a '98 with some miles on it, 45,000 but runs like a champ and was well maintained by the previous/first owner.

I kinda wish there was a "bone stock" class for me to enter! It is completely stock for now with the exception of the manual CCTs and the paintjob (Porsche red). It even had the noob reflectors on the stock rear end still. Waiting on forks (shock next) from JD as I'm way over these stock spring rates. If you can believe it, I can fit on this stock bike even at 6'8" tall but it is super uncomfortable as can be imagined. I've got parts ordered and on the way but probably won't be done before the end of the month.

The mesh does make a difference, I tried running mine closed off and the radiator didn't like it one bit. The fan never cycled off like it does with the mesh in place.
Thanks for the kudos, I appreciate it. Yours is now the fourth iteration of the the under seat radiator set up. Kinda cool that I started a trend with that.
I had my bike entered in VTROTM once or twice but never got it, my vote will have to go to you just for that, not to mention the excellent execution you achieved.

Wow dude. That's probably one of the best naked SH I have ever seen. Really well done! My vote goes to you for this month.

Now I'm tempted again to tear mine completely apart and get everything powder coated. The difference in look is just amazing.

I followed the rebuild thread with mild interest until I saw the Yellow valve covers. Then I was thinkin', now we got something! The bike is the first naked version I've liked. I'm slowly getting used to the "Alien" front fender cowl thing. If I wasn't such a Ridley Scott fan I probably wouldn't have noticed the similarity.
So far my favorite. Makes me think Honda should have made it like that.

I got in a very cool ride up to Estes Park, Co. this morning and took a pic on my phone of my bike. I'm pretty sure the mountains in the background are part of Rocky Mountain National Park. It looks like some pretty nice Super Hawks are posted up here, but I'll throw in mine.

I used to live in Loveland, and would really like to get back up there on a bike (I didn't ride back then)! Gorgeous photo!

To get a full sized image, upload the photo to a host site like photobucket, then copy and paste the IMG link in your text.

I got a convex bar end mirror for it and took the cafe racer ones off and it's much cleaner now. Hopefully I can get some pics up before the 15th or 16th or whenever
