Trick Streetfighter done right

Right because the dukes of hazzard thing hasn't been done to death! I am not saying it is not a sweet bike, just the paint ruins it. paint it with spray on bedliner if you want to be unique-ish. there is nothing you can do to a bike that has not been done 1000 times before by someone else. the duke thing just doesn't make sense. slapping a respected (argueably) peice of americana on a japanese motorcycleis like finishing up good sushi with a bud and some apple pie. Being unique is awsome, but being different just for the sake of being different... just my $.02

So we'll just go with what your parents did/should've taught you "If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all."
BTW, the spray-on bedliner would only be unique-ish to a motorcycle, I've seen it done on numerous cars/trucks/Jeeps.
You suggestion for a flat black is so creative also. Do you have nothing better to do than mock someone else. Their bike, their money, they can do whatever the hell they please. You can post your comments too, you'll just look like the ***, not them.

Superhawk205, nice looking bike. The paint job looks nice too.
If you like the way it looks: **** the haters, naysayers and doubters.
I like the uniqueness. Show me another Hawk with this paint scheme, thus it's unique. Like my Dad's VFR, it's unique, but the prudes on his boards give him the same type of grief.

Due to the current economic recession, your comment/opinion isn't even worth $.02.

OP: if you are actually offended by my comments then you have my apologies. it is still a superhawk and i have seen far worse.

So what would you think if I took off the honda badges on the tank, (the superhawk badges are allready off) and put on a couple of ducati stickers on the tank.

And considering the intervals of adjustment on those things you will just reduce re-sale value by a factor of 5...

no, not just american. It just doesn't look right when you mix up stuff like that. i saw a chevy caviler the other day with Japanese writing and JDM stickers all over it. I was speechless. why would someone do that? if someone decked out a buell in the 01/flag job then sure, why not? not my cup of tea but i understand. like i said though, to each his own.

So spell General Lee General Li (Chinese, I know).
I think the paint matches the Superhawk's personality perfectly. When America makes a decent motorcycle, cover it in Americana. Until then, call the loud obnoxious beast that makes us do bad things the General. Rice burners on the other hand are dumb, unless they truely are amazing and capable of racing. I symbolize sporting twins with V-8 muscle and I4's with, well, I4 rice burners.
Right
Wrong...

"Not American" My bike was built from a completely smashed bike, motor case busted, frame broken, front end twisted in two. I ebayed my *** off, completely rebuilt my bike from engine to handlebars and laid down my own sweet *** paint job, all in my own garage. I call that an american made bike, as I did not eat rice for dinner. Just because your bike has no more personality than it did when came with from Japan is your fault, not mine.

Well... To me it's kind of illogical to name a bike "General Lee"... But then again... If there is any bike that could fit the bill it would either be the hawk... Or the superduke... Both are made for doing stupid stuff...
And painting that crappy car like the general is just dumb... Beyond stupid as it still a slow *** crappy car...

superhawk205;
Your bike looks great. I don't care a fig about dukes of hazzard, would paint it different if it was mine, but it isn't. It still looks great.
Disregard all the comments from the Department of **** Retentiveness.
Would they be happy if you spelled out "General Lee" in Jap characters, or named it "General Tojo" instead? Fug 'em!

The Superhawk is a perfect candidate for a General Lee paint job. A true tribute to the horsepower days of days gone by. That why we own them, etc, etc, etc. Except for you horses that have stepped up to RC51.

3 or 4 cans of flat black spray paint and it'd be perfect Awesome bike...I know opinions are like arseholes...loved the tv show, not so much on the superhawk though, but again really cool bike. Is it yours or just pics of one you saw?

Guys, help me here. I'm in the UK and as awesome as that machine is, it would never be legally allowed on the road here. Is the bike road legal in the US and if so what is the legal requirement? Have a look at the UK 'SVA' test web site for what is legal here and make your own comparison.
