Ta Daaa. I'm finally finished
I finally finished putting my superhawk back together...
1. Repairing cracked plastic and dented tank.
2. Paint entire bike Black Chrome
3. Brace Swingarm with 900rr brace
4. Powder coat Swingarm, Front pegs, passenger pegs
5. Install Fox Twin Clicker
6. Install New Puig Windscreen
7. New Chain and sprockets
Took a lot longer than I anticipated but it was well worth it!!

Looks really good, nice job! I like the color very unique.
Lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of sanding! Do a search there's a couple of detailed instructions from me and a few others.....expect lots of hand cramps!

Thanks for the compliments guys
I did do the wheels my self. It's fairly easy. These are the steps I took:
- Remove wheels
- Remove Rotors
- Tape off entire wheel leaving the lip of the wheel exposed
- Spray paint stripper on lip and wipe of paint
- Polish lip with Mother's aluminum wheel polish and Mini-power ball
That's It! I need to polish them again they are starting to look kinda dull.

I'm not wanting a shiny finish, but more of a 'brushed aluminum' look or a matte finish

They would probably be a lot more shiny if I had sanded them. I like them as they are though.

Yeah if that's the look that you're going for then that's a lot easier, reminds me of how the wheels on the VFR1000r. I went all the way to an almost chrome mirrored look and for that you would have to sand and then sold them a few months later after my fornt end conersion. Either way looks nice IMO and there's less up keep that way as well.

Soon after you mention this the conversation turns to the wheels. The sanding you refer to must mean the body of the bike. The finish on the bike is as flawless as it can get. If this was the cause of your hand cramps it was well worth it.

That is a sweet looking bike, I've had a black chrome bicycle before, and the stuff is very hard to scratch. which is a nice thing. Don't know if it would be the same with this paint, but a great look either way!
