Second Hawk

I sold my last VTR last year thinking I would move up to a 999 or a RC. After realizing the additional cost of the bike and insurance I went back to the trusty Hawk. This is my new bike with a polished frame, tinted wind screen, high mount RT-1's, K&N, superjet. I have recently cut the godawful rear fender and plan to have a nice line of water/mud down my back on my next long ride. I have also ordered a pair of GSX-R mirrors with the built in turn signals (anyone done this yet?). I will post some better pictures of my bike in the next week or so when it is done, it is already the best looking hawk I have seen where I live.

This was me last weekend driving cross country...nvr again!

Black bike is the new one, red = old.

I like the black ones with black wheels and engine cases. I am definitely interested in the mirror mod. I know there have been lots of threads but I think this is an important improvement to safety. Congrats on the new bike!

So what do you do with the hole in the fairing after the mirror/signal mod? Unless you are wanting additional signals...

haven't quite decided that yet, either cap it with a mirror cap, put flush mounts and use them as running lights or leave it be. Any suggestions??

I looked closely at the GSXR mirrors, and decided that were not suitable to the VTR. The angle at which the mirror mounts is very different between the two bikes. I decided to make some custom units up, as the GSXR were just not going to be right in my opinion.

You will need to make an angled base to fit them on so they sit at the rght angle. Have a close look before you buy them!
