nothing's naked progress
Still in the midst of getting her how I want it, but she's looking pretty great to me so far. Going to sturgis, SD next week this is how I'm going to take her. Here are some pictures I took yesterday enjoy, and keep in mind I love constructive criticism.

If it were mine I woulds paint the radiator ends black as well as the screens and get the pipes ceramic coated in black! Make some more of those carbon deflectors and send them to me (unassembled), I have some nice button head rivets that would certainly improve their appearance. Then I'll send them back.

You would also get more air flow through the radiators if you took those "scoops" flipped them around and mounted them at the front of the radiator. This would cause a low pressure area over the radiator causing more air to get pulled through them..... but we already discussed that the air flows from the inside out on these bikes.

I pretty much just figured when I went naked it screwed the whole physics of the airflow and the inside out effect. it still probably does it. What if I kept those scoops there and made another 2 for the front like you said 8541? so it would be like /________\ would that have the same effect?
I'll probably paint just the ends like suggested, more likely to match my wheels and engine case color

You know if you did some sort of carbon fiber frames around the radiarors they might look pretty good. Maybe a whole cover that goes over each with some sort of shark gills or something. paint them to match the bike.

FWIW the radiators of my Transalp have been painted black since they were born. So is just about every CBR radiator ever created. I doubt that a little ****-coat of black on the fins makes a big difference. I just hate the ends painted and the fins left silver look...

No.. probably not, more like some kinda anodized finish. But if a light mist of black got on the outer fins, I don't see it being too detrimental. I'm not suggesting that he hog it on there . After all, he's already lost the air ducts by going naked. Don't see that making it too much worse.

Anodizing might be a good solution since all it does is "tarnish" the surface of the metal. You might want to consider some T-Rex sliders too since everything you have is now out there naked.

I'm thinking about painting my rads black as well, and based on my web search this should be the good stuff:
http://www.eastwood.com/eastwood-rad...ack-paint.html
From the website:
"Standard engine paints are too thick for radiator use because they can interfere with heat transfer and block air flow between the cooling fins. Also, standard paint tends to flake off radiator tanks. Radiator Black helps solve this problem. This acrylic enamel factory-finish (85% gloss) withstands 300 degree F., sprays on thick enough to cover completely, yet thin enough to not interfere with heat transfer. Great for heater cores and air conditioning condensers, too!"

I think it looks great. Dude who said the end caps were too long is right. They remind me of a wet t-shirt party in a way that isn't exactly pleasing. Otherwise, good work, Mister! It all fits together the way Honda should have done it the first time.
Oh, it cries out to be black, too, of course.

ehh the windscreen idea is cool and all, but I think I might hard time integrating it to this random round headlight I have. I saw the red one on here I forget whose it was (the guy from Portugal I think) and it looked really good, so I may do something like that soon. I also saw a guy who used the rounded part of a 5 gallon bucket all cut up as a windscreen, it actually came out really good. another free mod!

While I do love the carbon fiber accents, I have no skill for shaping it at all. If I were to do it from scrap and mold it myself that would be another thing, but I just have a scrap CF hood from my car, so I have to work with what I have for now.
