Wow, two thumbs up, love the underseat rad, the flames, the wheels, the long swing arm.
Nice work

front cyl. exhaust will wrap up above stator assembly.

Looking good...

I noticed it looks like you cut, flipped and rewelded the bottom rail of your subframe... Reasons why??? I'm guessing to make room for the exhaust? Highly interested as my new project will use a modified 2007 GSXR rear tail (I love the look)... so I'll be modding subframe as well... any suggestions?

i modded the subframe that way because visually it opens up that area.
gives a lighter look.

well took swingarm to powdercoaters.
as soon as ordered parts come in ,i can
start on initial assembly.
1st part being getting radiator mounted.
then bracing frame and powdercoating it.
need to do wheels also.
swingarm is going to be a textured black
with a red dyed kevlar carbon weave 600rr
hugger.
will post pics once started.

Very nice so far. Dig the subframe mod. Are you running a 929 swingarm? how much did you have to massage that, or did it bolt up?

Look foward to your progress. I'm half tempted to build another fighter with mine. Very inspiring.

scrapyard,

swingarm is rc51 sp2.

it mounts as per stock but you need to mod shock mount.
see pics and you will get the idea.
you also need to fab linkage plates.

im sorry pics are in other post"other swingarms"

You can get a chain tool at CycleGear or any other parts place, if you do go to CG request the RK chain tool and NOT the MotionPro. They're the same price but the RK one is much stronger. Looks good BTW can't wait for you to ride it and tell me what effect the longer swing arm has on the handling.

thanks for the heads up on the chain tool.
i imagine it would put more weight on the front end.
should cure it running wide under power.

No problem, I was thinking with the shorter forks the swing arm might bring it back to where it was before.

here is the start of rad. work.

on the radiator i need to notch out the center top.
and have a radiator shop close it back up.
the reason for this is to pull it up higher to
clear the front wheel.
also have to mod the mounts to clear fork tubes.

Whats your bar/turning radius clearence gonna be like with that thing? I know the RC front end cuts it down to begin with... looks like that rad will make it even worse... I guess if your track only, you'll be fine...

You must post up pics of how you finish up the rads as you move along...

this is a very rough sketch of what i am doing to rad.
basically notching out the center to raise it up higher
for front wheel clearance.

How did you seal the radiator after cutting away the top section?
