by mods do you mean notching the top for clearence? I know that 2 wheel tuner did a low budget hawk streetfighter build but i cant find the pictures on their new website. why did you go with the 600rr radiator instead of the stock one turning clearence? or just the better look and were are you going to put the oil cooler? also by flipping the bottom brace on the subframe upside down did it relocate the rear passenger pegs?

Today my beautiful girlfriend once again astonished me with her brains... It happens quite often you know...
Her usual aptitude for mechanical things is along the lines of putting gas in the car... But she has a way of seeing the core of a problem...
I have been trying to sell off the SP1 swingarm to another local VTR owner, he likes the idea but is a bit nervous of having it welded to bolt it up, so that was put on hold until I could figure out another solution to the bottom link...
As I was sitting there mumbling about it, my gf said to me "Why is it a problem... You already have that triangular thingy..." pointing to the link...
So I tried explaining that on the RC it was like that on a VTR it was a plate on the outside of the bearings... To which she replies, "so weld that part (meaning the one I had welded to my swingarm) to the triangle plates then... Instead of the swingarm... Then the arm is unchanged..."
So I explained that steel and aluminium wont work to weld together... Her response... "So bolt them up then..."
I tried explaining that I already thought of that and since the parts arent the right shape (cast aluminum, with ridges and stuff) it wont work either...
She just rolled her eyes at me... " So make a new aluminium piece then... You made all that other aluminium stuff..."
Damn... She got me... Why didn't I think of that?!
So short version... A triangular aluminum block with three holes... One to press in the bearings scavenged from the stock link, and two for bolting on two steel plates forming the other two ends of the triangle...
The block remains the same and you can change the plates and the holes in them as much as one would want to play with ratios, just as with a plate only setup... The good part is that the swingarm remains untouched, a true bolt-on solution...

The annoying part is that she has most of the family as witnesses... I'm not crawling out of this hole in a while...
I didn't have my camera with me... But I'll get pic's next time I'm at my parents (garage and tools are there)

Radiators can also work well under the seat, if air-flow is managed right. It's a natural low-pressure area, and Britten (I think) used to mount the radiator under the seat with some ducting and vents to facilitate airflow, and a fan.
And it will make the front-cylinder area cleaner, and give lots of front-tire clearance.

Even though I prefer brighter colors on my bikes I may also steal the red frame/wheels with the suede black paint too. Mine is going to have a one off full fairing though so it'll still be different than yours. Hell maybe I should save myself a lot of work and just steal your whole bike and make a fairing for it

the fact that they are made from carbon is a moot point (material choice is truly a secondary issue) , but the dimensions (flow bench developed) which help produce a gain of 5 hp in the mid-range will (for some of us anyhow)....
