Isle of Man VTR
http://s117.photobucket.com/albums/o...hall187/Bikes/
Hey guys
the above link is to the pictures of my VTR.
I had real problems trying to use the link tool so I gave up and used a link to photobucket.
Any way Im here on the Isle of man attacking the mountain circuit every dry day I get chance to.
We have no speed limits here once you leave town.
With this in mind my bikes got the full tune from http://www.revolutionuk.co.uk/ and is giving a healthy 125.6 bhp out to the rear wheel.
Its covered 10000 miles since the tune so its fair to say they know there stuff.
Suspention is fireblade 954 revalved and tweeked, penski shock, and lock wired every thing to keep it attached at silly speeds.
Sure the body is scruffy at the moment and im toying with spending a small fortune on some fancy cloth's for it.
Any links or ideas would be great.
I do have a folder of info on the exact work carried out if anybody is intrested in what was done to it.

Welcome to the forum.
You've got a lovely SR500 cafe racer in your photobucket album and the VTR is very nice too.
My dad and I were at the TT in 1989. The IOM was beautiful. Mad Sunday lived up to its name.
As you know, the TT course is extremely fast but extremely unforgiving. Have fun. You've got nothing to prove.

Cool collection. Must be a blast around that course. That roger d from revolutione sure knows his stuff- and a really nice helpful guy.
speaking of the TT you guys should pick up the book one mans island. Great story and description of the experience.

I dug out the papers from Revolution racing to share with those intrested in more get up and go from there Superhawks.
Moriwaki ST1 camshafts
Port and gas flowed cylinder heads
CArbs rebuilt to new spec
New valves and valve guides and all new seals
New gaskets oil and filters
Modified fuel tap and lines for high flow rate
Titanium exhaust system with free flowing end cans. ( read "ear bleeders")
Piper X Air filter. better for top end performance than the K&N
Rubber manifold restriction removed
Larger Side radiators. thermostat removed and fan's removed.
520 chain and sprokets to scavange 0.5 of a bhp
Suspension
Custom linkage for penski shock
Fireblade 954 fork conversion
Gold valves in these along with rev's magic.
Sat here looking at the dyno time (5hrs) and progress over time.
124bhp and a stack less weight than standard.
I cant recomend the Vtr enought.
Tomorrow on the mountain im going to stalk me a set of Gsxr's with R1's as desert.

Vtr Video
Okay not the best video in the world.
My mate is a bit on the steady side for getting anything really good.
Still you can see the bike in action using its massive grunt to make a Gsxr look ermmmm Like a silly 4 potter.
On a side note could any body tell me what honda 5 or 7 spoke wheels will fit the Vtr.
Bit left feild I know
