Here's a pic from early in the season....feel free to heckle my form...
Here's a better one....

dave that first pic is scary! did the guy on the f4i have a nice *** or something?
i see picking one picture is hard for others too. maybe the best from each track...
Summit Point main course (2nd track day)
its amazing how for we all progress after a few days on the track. i thought this pic was awesome after that weekend at Summit. now compared to my recent one it looks like a gentle sweeper.
VIR patriot (3rd trackday)
i love how you can see the elevation change in the background (thats the track back there), and the heat from the exhaust

Not my best form, but probably the best shot I've got of me (the problem of being a decent track photographer is when you hand off the camera you get 'meh' pictures of you on your bike...):
Edit: My wife took this one, and she didn't go with me to the trackday 2 weekends ago, thus the lack of pictures of me in 'the good corners'...

I liked being able to see pics of myself because it opened my eyes to how bad my form was/is. my 2010 goal is FORM.
On paper, VIR looks small and basic. it's nice to see the elevation changes. Looks like it'll be fun. It's on my 2010 list!
My favorite track so far is Road Atlanta for similar reasons. There are several elevation changes that make it lots of fun to ride.

on race weekends we get to take our street bikes out on the track. a slower pace but still fun.
from my very first trackday.
a couple of friends... roland & jeff. half the fun of a trackday is your buddies !

I'd say 'aggressive amateur' rather than pro. I could probably make some decent $$ if I put a little effort into it. Shots from the trackdays I did 5/6 Dec are here, and though I didn't take all of the pictures there, all of the close-ups are mine (everything except the last 8 on tab 3 and first one on tab 4 are mine). Some of them were taken with my wife's EOS Digital Rebel, and some with my SD850IS point-and-shoot. Even the point and shoot sequences were pretty easy to take. It's all about panning and shooting continuously at the same speed the bike is coming through a corner.
I should really look into whether or not anyone is doing that for local trackdays. I need to check Killboy's pricing for deal's gap photos as a reference and see what I can figure out... hmm.

swordfish, dont worry about getting your knee down, your body position looks good, it will come with time.

Nice pics, there is nothing like snapshots in action to correct your body position.
I have a few that I posted before, but since it cost almost nothing but some wear on the keyboard and mouse, I'll post them again
They are from Mecaglisse track, witch is a short track supermotard style no real straight line, more like 2 short straight, max speed 140 km/h (90 MPH)

Yeah...its a strange feeling on a borrowed bike, huh. here's one of me on a Buell 1125R demo bike at CMP last year. It was a BLAST to ride. Like a superchicken on steroids, but it didn't handle as well. Sure did power out of turns though!

My buddy Matt is right on my tail on his SV. Check out the dirt on my left boot and the scuffed up body work on the left side of the bike. Gotta love Sharkskinz
A nice shot centered up on the Honda sign in the Carousel

as long as your comfortable on the bike, your experienced enough
#28
Im comfortable, just not totally confident yet. I got the bike (this is my first one) back in august, so im still trying to learn the bike. Ive put 3k miles on it, but im stil shifty in turns. Ill catch up eventually.

You will gain a lot of skill and confidence, in a relatively safe environment on the track. You don't have to try to be fast. Try to be smooth and relaxed.
And since this IS the Super Hawk forum...

I just checked a map. there are not a lot of options close to you, huh.
