Nice track pictures! Any issues with cornering clearance?

No issues, aside from the occasional footpeg scrape (feelers removed), but that's usually because i'm getting lazy/tired and not getting my weight shifted enough. I'm generally not a "hanging off" much type of rider and I have yet to scrape anything but the pegs... Before the Micron high mounts I had TBR carbon lows, also no scraping.

Setup wise, I have .90kg racetech springs up front (no gold valves) with 7.5wt oil, Ohlins out back with a 5mm shim. I might also have the forks raised up through the triples a bit, but no more than 8-10mm. Sag I set around 30mm.

I have lots of other track pics, just not sure how many people care to see 'em .

Sure is!! Joe's great, quite the diehard rider around Western NY. I'm actually leaving the house in about 20minutes to meet up with a bunch of local riders at a bike shop. The owner invited a shoei rep. to give his shpeel on helmets and offer reduced prices on all helmets in stock... basically and excuse to get some free coffee/dognuts and kick some tires.

Oh, and the pic with the repli racers behind me.. Those are my two buddies I typically hit trackdays with, the first guy is my age on his R1, the next one is Rodger, just turned 50 and rides the stink out of his 636.. You know I blew that pic up and framed it for each of them, nice in-your-face Christmas gifts!! hhehehe.

How do you like your Micron's? Mine make a kind of "whistle'y" sound.

BTW - Awesome pics and I'm sure everyone else would like to see more.

A couple from Mosport (ontarioa, canada) in 2003. Got rid of the carbon TBR's since it was such a pain to repack them every season with all the rivets, etc.

I'm pretty happy with the microns... much easier to repack than the TBR's, quieter too. I was getting some warnings from one track I attend given some recent db testing they had to start doing. That's when i found the used set of Microns... I don't get any sort of whistling or strange noise out of them... Maybe that's the sound of air inside where PACKING should be, hehe ;-) Micron socks you for repack kits, beware.

Re: BeaverRun trackday pics from last Fall

I know, I know lol

Stupid me, I bought the packing which was like $80 cdn plus shipping, take the can apart and WTF! all the packing is there and seemingly in perfect condition, so are the end cap gaskets and rubber seals. I exchanged emails with Micron and they said they'd never heard of their units making a whistling sound.

Oh well, its not like its annoying. Kinda sounds like a supercharger. You mix that with all the strange gearing/whirring sounds that come from out engines and you get a very distinctive noise.
