1st stretched Hawk...I Think?
#4
The "why" is to make it less a wheelie machine and a straight line rocket instead. Like you say, 2 each his own. No mod is off the graph for me.

Damn straight. That thing is a Super Hawk drag bike. Imagine coming away from a light on a VTR- pin the throttle and leave it there- forget about wheelies- as you bang up the gears at redline.
I wouldn't be surprised if Chevy's VTR out pulls 160 H.P. super sports from standing start to the better part of 100 mph.
I like it.

Welcome to the forum
Superhawk owners tend to be practical people that rides a "do everything"bike, so it's usually a matter of balance.
It becomes a specialized bike stretched like this, but hey to each it's own, I thinking to modify mine for more lean angle quicker steering response, some are modding for comfort and long rides, some add bling, a hunter may would like to put moose horns for god sake it's his bike (but the cornering clearance will suck)

That swingarm setup is screaming for a undertail exhaust... there's plenty of room to route it up there with all the extra space... it would do wonders for the oveall look....
Regardless... welcome abord....

I purchased bike this way..........everything on it was already there..............no i have not taken it to the track, just begun riding..............when the skills get that good i will definetly give that a try and post my results.
I think the way to sretch is to buy the swingarm extensions..........it also has conti attack tires.
And about the oil i think i am going to go with the amisol brand.
i will post more pics from different angles soon......along with new scorpion helmet coming off order.

Hey Chevy , what part of Ga are you from ? They occasionally let the bikes Drag Race the pit road 1/8th mile at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton on Friday nights. Let me know if you ever head down this way . I am only 4 miles away & would love to watch .

This gets fringy but the word is the yellow birds have a different primer layer in their paint scheme and that makes them lighter and therefore faster.
Now go figure. How much does a layer of primer weigh?
The Superhawk is not the fastest of it class or the bestest of its class. But, for the right riders and the best builders, this bike centers around two things. Big motor and the same frame you had on your first Schwinn. Swim with it, dance with it - whatever you call it. It's only better in an aircraft or a Corvette.
