Hello, I am looking at your write up on the RC51 fork seal replacement (12-14-2009, 10:15 PM). I got as far as removing the dust seal and the clip, however, I don't understand how you say you pulled apart the fork: "I’ve found that the easiest way is to grab the shiny part (for all intensive purposes) and the bottom part and pull them apart." When I pull the fork, it stops about an inch after I see the two hole and it knocks, but won't go further. I don't want to pull like hell on it or knock it too hard, because I don't know what's holding it in. Am I missing something? When I look at the later picture in your write up, I see the forks are apart. Thanks, for the help you provide here it is appreciated. Any clues for me?
