Gearing spreadsheet
http://www.ozfirestorm.com.au/docs/sprocket_gearing.xls
This spreadsheet was originally for an FZ1, but has been updated with the VTR gear ratios. It has ben checked against a GPS and found to be accurate.
Simply type in your sprocket combo, and tyre size, and it will tell you what speeds you are doing at certain revs in each gear.
Cheers,
Shayne

Hey guys, I don't know if there's something wrong with my particular download or what, but when I try changing anything on the spreadsheet nothing happens. I can click on one of the gear ratios, but any input to the keyboard results in, well, nothing.
Any ideas?

All I did was edit the original one, and duplicated the formulae to be able to compare two different setups, other than just compare to stock...
Plus the the layout of the original one had me confused more than once...
Also added formuales making it easy to change the internal gearbox parameters, ie different bike...

I like Tweety's
Been looking around the forum at a couple different spreadsheets, this is the best. I think the bike is geared too tall, don't like the stock ratios for tight twisties. Some guys say 15/43 is too buzzy, but from the looks of it from this spreadsheet its really not a huge change. Loafing along at 3,500 RPM in 6th is 98 MPH.
