Joshua Tree Ride Report: 1 Hawk, 7 VFR's
We don't seem to get a lot of ride reports on this board, so I thought I would post up a ride that I organized for VFRD.
We did have 1 Superhawk rider, but it wasn't me.
Hope it still counts!
Anyway, here is a copy of my post from VFRD. Enjoy!!
We started off our day in Banning, with 8 riders attending:
Jerry (JBAXX) on my VFR, Sorry!!
Andrew (Third Echelon) representing Superhawkforum!!!
Michael (Michaelf3)
Alan (shakey654)
Kelly (HighSpeedWobble)
Brian (Spike)
Matt (AmbitiousbutRubbish)
Vincent (Jokerros)
Matt and Vincent both brought super clean 4th gen Viffers - SWEET!
Andrew was representin' Superhawk forum
Everyone was on time, so we made our way out to Yucca Valley for some breakfast, then off to the park.
Hidden valley - cattle rustlers are said to have hidden cattle in behind the rocks in this area
Key's View, looking down toward Palm Springs
Next stop was off to Jumbo Rocks
Brian picking someone's nose
Vincent was KING OF THE WORLD... for like 5 minutes
All in all a fun, relaxing and scenic ride with a great group of guys and GREAT MOTORCYCLES!!
Until the next,
JBAXX

What a coincidence, my wife and I were in Joshua Tree last Thursday. My first time there, but my wife climbed there a lot in the '70s when it was all dirt roads. We just did some scrambling on the rocks, since I'm afraid of heights/exposure.
That's a bit of a ride from Anaheim. It took us about 2 1/2 hours driving to get there. We saw a bunch of Harleys and one sportbike inside the Park. Hope you found a better breakfast spot than we did.
VFR was definitely the way to go for that distance. We logged over 330 miles on our Tacoma.
