ISUMC and VEISHA Event "Cytrax"
#2
I'm the president of the ISU Motorcycle club and a Mechanical Engineering Major Senior at ISU. I have a friend that has a super hawk, and it's been sitting in my garage for the last 8 monthes, and I've been trying to get it running so another friend can buy when we get it running.
I've been lurking here for a while. It takes an hour or so for the forum to send the email to verify registration, and then you only have a day or so to verify before you have to resubmit your info. I'm a busy guy and don't have time to wait for the forum to send the authorization, then check it later that day. So I just finally had time to wait and joined.
I just posted it because I thought that people local to Ames, or Des Moines, who aren't on other forums that I normally post on would like to know about the event going on... I see no reason to get all moderator on me, it's not like I'm advertising ****, or selling vaccuums. I'm simply posting a motorcycle event, that members may want to go to. It's free to watch, not to mention that Saliva is going to be putting on a free concert the night before, Mike jones, Story of the Year, and lot's of other pretty cool stuff is going on, and there's going to be tons of people here at ISU anyway.
I don't mean to get a bit defensive, but I don't think this is anywhere near SPAM... I'm a veteran of many forums, including thumpertalk, thirdgen.org, supermotojunkie, srtforums, ls1tech, r1forums, uponone and many others and understand the need to moderate and keep spammers out and applaud your efforts. But you could possibly word things a little nicer than that, or maybe even drop me a PM and ask me to post some "newbie" info or something.
