What dealers or local mechanics do U use/trust in ur area?
I use Monkeywork cycle in daytona, they have awesome prices and are super nice. I just got a pair of practially new take offs (half track day) brought the bike, mount balance and tires out the door was $200

I usually go with "Old enough to know better, young enough not to care..." That kind of hits the apropriorate age span...

I say lets meet at 2721 W International Speedway Blvd, which is the Wing House in Daytona near the speedway. We can meet 2 hours before the Flattrack race on the 14th and ride a bit. For those whom have never been to bike week, let me sayt two words, Harley Davidson. if wou want to see another SHawk, best pick a plce and time.

What? You are lucky enough to be right there and are not going to the 200? Thats the only reason bike week exists! You gotta go!

Umm the 17th is St. Paddys Day, so being the good Irishman that I am, will be drinking Guinness & Irish Whiskey somewhere.

Is there any good Irish pubs there? But more important, Where is the best Guinness on tap served? Not all Guinny is equal - taps must be cleaned & proper gas mixed.

I will be there (no bike though...) and I will be at the 200, but does anyone know what time it starts? I've looked all over the place and even bought tickets and nowhere does it have start time...

now you're speaking my language. nothing like a good stout or porter. my favorite type of beer, especially a good cream stout with a very heavy roast on the malt, subtle undertone of chocolate and a hint of almond and a finish that is just bitter enough to override the sweetness of the malt.

hold on a minute, got to go pour myself a Jose Marti stout now i got the craving...

but back to the point at hand...
lets see, we have robbie o'connels (two story place, bar only, going to be a huge party of the younger crowd, my favorite of the bars ive listed), McKay's (a bit more grown up crowd there, is also a restaurant) , Tir ni nog (only been once, kind of shady but the hipsters that think theyre from doublin go there, A LOT of usual's so kinda cliquesh [sp?]), and a few others i cant remember their names (go figure). robbies is on seabreeze which is just 2 streets over from main st, both streets lined with bars on both sides, so that will probably be the place ill end up.

hey, by the way, meant to text you but i left my phone in my buddy's car. once you get your health back, if you need ANY help, i got ya man. got more tools than i know what to do with. might could work something with the pipes we were talking about to get it back on the road and worry about the details later.

and quit sounding like these old geezers on the board complaining bout your hip... walk that **** off

the bikes alright just some scuffs here and there I'll post pics, I'm rendering my crash vid as we speak. I'll be sure to post the link here. I don't have any rash but when I went down my hip hit the ground. and the bike dragged me, but I've watched enough of crash vids so I went for the side of the road (leaves and grass)

Yeah, amazing how vulnerable your hip is right? When I broke my first collarbone I landed on my hip. I wasnt black & blue, I turned purple and green.

But any crash you can walk away from is a good one. If you have vid of it, DONT watch it alot, it will imprint in your brain and be reproduced when you least want it.

Well glad ur still alive to post up.

Next time ride it out, U'd be surprised how much a tire can handle. Just lean it over more, I swear it will hold.

Yeah... You're sitting way to upright in that corner, even visible by the helmet camera... Help the bike out a little, move your weight to the inside of the corner, and it'll be nice to you in turn and stick to the road...
