California Gold Country rides

I recently did the drive from LA to Big Sur and it was amazing for the last 2 hours of the ride. We spent four nights in Big Sur, then went north to Marin County, and looped back inland (101) en route to LA.Doesn't matter if you have ocean on left or right of you as you drive (nice try) to or from Big Sur because your eyes had better be on the road as it gets hairy in some place. You must stop at the Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo for great hamburger

I am a new Hawk owner as well and I'm right down 80 from you in Rancho Cordova. I'll be riding 49 A LOT this season! I'm going to be riding to Auburn probably once a month starting in the next couple of weeks. Hit me up.

If the weather holds up, I am game. I hate wet roads. Auburn to Placerville and on to Jackson. May work a little on Sat morning haven't decided. Good weater is good for riding and work, go figure.

Well Loserbaby and Ranchomice, I did 165 miles on Highway 49 today. Was good until just north of Jackson, then foggy. I think this old Sargent seat needs a trip back to the factory for rehab, sore butt. Not too many others out on the road today, fog in the valley keeps them home.

Sounds like we are starting to get a flock of hawks here in the SAC Foothills area. Weather man say this weekend will be rainy. Negman, loserbaby, rancomice, we will have to get an actual group ride going as soon as Mother Nature sees fit.

I don't have a specific date or ride in mind but I'm still up for one and next time someone wants to set a date, please PM.
The weather is holding out, not quite summer yet.
