Your throttle lock advice wanted
I searched a bit and didn't find a whole lot on the subject. I'm going to get one but I haven't even looked into any specific brands yet. So if you have one or have any experience using them, post up your $.02. Any pics would be a bonus. I do know that the cramp buster or the paddle is definitely not an option for me.

I had the Vista throttle lock and didn't care for it. Lever was right where I wanted to put my thumb to start the bike. Part of it was plastic and felt flimsy.
I currently don't have a throttle lock.
Throttlemeisters get rave reviews everywhere, BUT they are expensive.
YMMV
Let us know what you get and how you like it.

I also use the vista-cruise mfg#mcvico-p. and as mikstr did I used a zip tie on the bottom side where it goes between the throttle cables to help secure it in place. I have use it close to seven years now and am so used to it that when on different bikes I find myself trying to lock the throttle.

How often will it get used? once in a while or quite a bit? I've had both - Vista and throttlemeister. Vista is easy and very intuitive to use but as others mentioned you need to secure it. Throttlemeister looks really nice but is not as easy to use. You have to twist it and then put the throttle where you want. Even the standard are nice and heavy so they help dampen vibration
Since I got the VFR bars the throttle meister made sense as i needed bar ends anyway

I really like the throttlemeister. Got them on my bike, They look great and do a great job at dampening vibrations, but they do take a little more effort to use, and they are pricey. The one thing that I like the most is that it never locks the throttle solid and in a situation when you need to close it fast, it will close.

I'll use it quite a bit. I seem to be comfy doing 250mi+ rides. Being able to rest and shake my throttle hand around a bit will be tremendously helpful.
I just ordered the Vista for $18.36 (the meister was too expensive). Any chance anyone could post a pic so I know what to expect when it comes?
