Wellllllll you're right. However, since I get great discounts, I've got a Russell kit coming in tomorrow. Will be installed and bled before the week end is over.

Can you see the amber color? I read on another forum where someone complained about not being able to see the amber due to a gentetic color vision deficiency. They claimed the LED isn't truly 3-color, but that the amber is a combination of the green and red.

thedeatons, why do you want it out after 30 seconds? The constant green lets you know it's still working. Lighting up at ignition and then going out is how idiot lights usually work, true, but if it's illuminated, you get reams more information than an extinquished dot.
It is Eclipse 8mm, I ordered it with 1m long lead. Yes, amber is more like light red, but there is significant difference between this amber and red. Visibility is without problem. I think eclipse is not auto dimming, i didnt feel need for it, my rides in the dark are rare.
