what up everyone from a new guy
I've been browsing this website for the last couple a weeks and though i'd say hello. I picked up a 1998 red superhawk a couple weeks ago. Its got yoshi pipes and the fender eliminator, 25,xxx miles. He threw in some brand new ss break lines...they just were not installed unfortunately and def not my area of expertise.
This is my third bike. I started out on a sv650 and rode that for about 5000 miles before the economy aka. my empty wallet forced me to sell it. My gf said the lights were more important. That was a very sad day let me tell you. Fast forward a year and i was able to pick up a 1979 cb 550. It never ran right but it was cheap. I believe major carb problem that I never worked out and i eventually sold it and luckily got all my money back. Now that I have the hawk I feel blessed to have another bike (one that runs well). Some timesi thought i would never have another but it all worked out i guess. Can't wait until the weather gets warmer gets a lil warmer. So far put about 300 miles on her.
Theres a pic of my first bike. Superhawk pics are on the photobucket link.
Anybody from VA by the way? I don't think I've ever seen a Superhawk around me. ( i had to drive an hour into WV for this one)
One more question..Can someone give me some info on the CCT's?
jk...i'm sure there are a couple threads about it, nevermind lol ..sarcasm anyone..

hopefully i should fit the suspension, 5' 11" 160 lbs. Another 1000 miles should tell me. The CB was def a project. Stopped running on me a month before someone approached me to buy it. After he bought it I later found out one of the cylinders had blown. I felt bad but I sure didn't know...

I love that about thees bikes. Not your run of the mill gixxer that you see everywhere.
Welcome to the forum! Your new bike looks awesome! My wife has an SV so I can relate to the transition. Feels like twice the motor doesn't it?!

Twice the motor is right which i like. only thing i miss about the SV was the handling through the turns, def a big difference between the two. Hawk requires a lil more force it seems.
