what does a standard rear shock look like
hey guys
my rear shock has a bright yellow spring, is fully adjustable and is a showa with the respective showa decals on it etc.
it came to me on the bike, is it the standard unit which happens to be made by showa or an aftermarket unit? even if showa do make the standard one, is mine an uprated aftermarket one?
i know showa make some standard parts, but its the spring colour and decal etc that has got me thinking, it just looks aftermarket to me.
thanks

Stock is indeed a Showa, and it has an decidedly ugly yellow spring... But as far as adjustable, it's got preload and rebound, but no adjustment for compression dampening and no ride height adjustment, so fully adjustable is a matter of opinion...
As far as quality goes it's actually quite good, my main gripe with it was that the front and rear suspension was setup for two different persons and I'm in the middle of the two both in geometry and weight...
