That one is oahuhawk's former bike. He upgraded to a Duc Streetfighter. The Yosh slip-ons are nice. I just added a pair after getting hit from behind, they sound great, deep tone but not obnoxious loud. It looks like you have more SuperHawks in the Islands than we have here in Orange County.

What island are you on? I've surfed Town...Pop's, Kaisers, In Betweens and Bowls, and The Big Island...Banyons. Very nice waves. Shaka Brah.

 

120 horse power? Ha! More like 105 if he's lucky. $4500 is way too much for a 9 year old VTR.

 

Mahalo for all your advice! I'm on Oahu, the bike is on Maui. Just a half hour flight but from the general concensus over priced. The other bike is still for sale. He's asking $3500. Called him and might go see it this weekend. Anything I should be looking for?

Vtrsurfer waves have been ok. North Shore was 5ft. the other day. Not bad for summer! Some small south swells coming soon. Been paddling one man canoe in between surfing and riding trails on my KTM300.

 

When my buddy and I were on Oahu in June, 1986, we drove up to the North Shore one day and saw Val's Reef breaking head high+ with 4 guys out. We were sightseeing and had left our boards in Town. The next day we drove up there again, with boards, and it was flat. But there were great waves in Town. I even got barreled at Ala Moana. I'm goofy foot, so I loved Bowls. Was in the water sitting next to Ben Aipa one day.

 

Besides the usual used bike stuff, check to see if the CCT and R/R have been swapped. Don't let the lack of this stop you, but recognize these two weak points in the bike could use addressing and it would be nice to have that already done for you. (the rest of the bike is solid reliable)
