What did you do with your SuperHawk today?

This weekend you pretty much have to expect people to be in the way. It's better then sitting at the house.

Nice vid, was there a cop behind you?

[QUOTE=97Wolverine;333960]And the results are in.... shifts like my beat up Mobile1! Ain't using that crap anymore.
I wonder what the prob could be, I've used mobil uno and rotella and have no differences in the shifting. I put new rotella in sat night and rode the **** out of it sun. I saw 150 on the dial.

arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggg, so who knew,, the new type Motion Pro Syncpro Manometer Fluid evaporates in high heat.. like say a Texas Garage over two summers.
Just went to sync my carbs and the fluid is 90% gone.. And it's not oil based as i tried some of that mixed in just to geterdone.
Well it was just a pre ride maint check, not like I had the carbs off the bike... But damnit.....

All I know is my bike does shift much better with the Mobil 1 4T so I accept the extra cost as it is worth it to me....

I'll +1 that. Read a lot of positive feedback about the Rotella but like I stated, the fresh stuff shifted about as good as the beat down 2500 mile M1 4T! Huge difference between the two.
We're making this an oil thread...

Changed out the brake and clutch fluid. Learned how to do that and bleed them correctly. Also, did a full engine oil change and filter. Re-synced the carbs after redoing the shims after talking to 8541Hawk. (Can't tell you how much help he has provided through PM's!) Feels good having all fresh oils in the SH! I may be tweaking the pilot adjustments tomorrow, depends on how much fishing gets in the way!!
Overall felt productive, even got the engine oil and filter changed in our Sport Trac today. Most of the day spent in the garage.

Finally got to install my MCCTs and Pair block-off plates. I took me over two hour just to get the center stator cover bolt off. Thanks to 8541Hawk's photo and post. I ended up just about 1/8 inch from the bottom of the hex hole. Made ramped groves(more like trenches) at the 12-3-6-and 9 o'clock locations. Used the coarse then finer then coarse again chisels. About a half hour before it finally turned I was thinking of where to order the stator cover gasket from. I already had spare stator/covers to use.
Used the threads from about 4 members for the install. Much thanks to all(too tired to remember spelling of names)
I decided to try and take off the stator bolt before diassembling anything else. It took me longer to take out the bolt than for the actual MCCT and block-off plate install.
Did the timing hole/crank shaft turn. Took off the reat cover and ziptied the chain to sprocket. The front cct gave me the most work to try and scrap off the existing gasket. Left the covers loose, going to finish up tomorrow. Valve check, tps, braided lines, fork brace, lower fairing ,and mirror extentions. Lots of procrastinated add-ons.
Most important was the MCCT's. My stock CCT were actually in good shape. The front one even has oil on the shaft. Got to get some rest, long day ahead.

120 MPH cruise.
Not really happy about it... the bike feels good - but something about it is off since the crash. I don't know what it is... but it feels like... something's off. It's running a bit hotter than it was - but that could just be weather related.

I ran up behind a sheriffs truck at 120mph with two beemers on my ***. I through out the anchor so as not to pass him, then he pulled over and turned around and split. Exxhhaaalleeeee.

Got the mosfet reg installed. This weekend I am going to tackle the pair system hopefully. Bike runs great. Also put new fluid in the clutch slave and flushed it and cleaned it. Also ordered a integrated real brake light.

Went to the lamest bike night ever at Cyclegear. They closed early and didn't even have the items I wanted to purchase. Plus a group of genuine squids showed up. Helmet mohawks(many) and 2" chicken strips evrywhere. Shorts, tennies, the whole nine yards.
