What did you do with your SuperHawk today?

Rode the butt of of theStorm today and really enjoyed the ride.
I just love this thing, it's been the subject of countless mods and hundreds of hours.
Goes and handles better than it deserves to.
Have my hands full with other bikes at the moment so that niggling rattle in the top end will have to wait until the new year.
In the mean time I will keep riding.

Rode the bike to work.
180 K round trip.
Beautiful weather, bike going well, however might as well not have bothered.
Police everywhere.
Saw 5 police in the first 1k's and lots more on the way home.
This bike does not like 6th gear at anything less than 120k.
Came home and took the 848 for a spirited ride over the mountain and nearly got booked there as well.
Better be careful over the break at Christmas.

completed the HAWK carb setup, cleaned up a few bits and pieces, some fresh fluids...all good stuff. Got it running after putting the carbs back in and holy crap, i fell in love with the sound all over again...absolutely terrifying how pissed off the bike sounds. If that doesn't rustle your jimmies, i dont know what could

Yes temp is measured in Celsius ( 11 Celsius) up here in the Great White North but I "translated" to Fahrenheit for our Southern cousins. Plus I'm an old school "mature" (turning 60) and Fahrenheit is what I was raised with

Even though I'm not related to you, thank you for the "translation" because I can't read Celsius. I just know that it is colder than Fahrenheit.

Did the CCT stopper mod and checked valve clearance while I had the valve covers off.
Found some 8mm dowels that worked perfect for the stopper.
Just had to file them down until the plunger went back in. Front valve cover was PITA but got it all done in one afternoon.
