what bike is this?

was looking around today and found this bike. i really like the tail section on it. thats one of the things i dont like about my vtr is how the double seat looks too bland and outdated. this looks like it would go along with the looks of the bike.

Honda 600RR or 1000RR, I don't know them intimately enough to tell the difference, but from the Dual exhaust I would say it's the 1000RR.

And anything is possible if you have the money, time, and skill...not necessarily in that order of course

It's not a 600 or a 1000. Looks like it may be some kind of cheap knock off copy. Size of the back wheel is 250? 400 max. I'm guessing it's not a Honda.

Ok, it is a Honda. CBR400rr, year mid to late 90's I'm guessing.

63 corvette - classic
93 mustang - outdated
93 crx - outdated

in the 80's and 90's companies lost touch with styling and started going with what was trendy at the time. they are still doing it today. i blame the computer rather than hand drafting and artistic designs. that being said, i actually like the looks of the early 90's mustang, but i agree its outdated. like you say to each his own and point understood brother. i like how it looks when it has the solo seat and hump on it, but add the passenger seat and the good looks go away in my oppinion

Gen 1 dodge viper (90's) = classic
Gen 2+ dodge viper (y2k) = ruined

Totally change your tail, I wasn't refuting that at all... I think sometimes they are just hit or miss, with all the changes made to products year in and year out there are bound to be bad eggs. All the new Toyota and Nissan stuff is just bananas. I have no idea what design by committee study told them that raised buggy eye headlights will sell them more cars...?

I agree that the seat cowl makes the bike look much nicer, just see a lot of people say "outdated" when I really think they just mean "personally dislike". I think the bike has excellent proportions and shows it's age well, but also fully support making it your own (hell I'm a huge hypocrite here as I ditched most of my plastics- my desire for a naked bike outwon my like for the VTR design language!)

Wouldn't it be a better idea to find out if it fits first? I imagine the 400 would be a bit skinnier, so the looks once attached to the VTR might be a bit different... Why not research other tail swaps on the forum... There are several known working one's...

i was looking at the r1 swaps and think they look nice, but in my opinion, too long and skinny for the bike. i really like the tail on my buddy's 06 gsxr and think that would fit the flow of the bike seeing as how its wide and i like how the turn signals are integrated in but i tried searching on here and google and didnt find anything

that was the main purpose of asking what bike that was to get some opinions on if it would fit or not because it looked alright
