wake up honda
Suzi that looks pretty good
09' Gladius 650
wished honda would get the thumb out of the rear and put the hawk motor in something like this or the hypermotard and stop innovating things like the 09' DN-01

My wife rides an SV650S, nice bike. But if that is a new model, they put the engine in a new frame and it's looking "Monsteresque". Are you sure it's not photoshopped?
It does seem ridiculous that Honda has not put such a sweet motor as the SuperHawk has into another bike.
If only the masses knew how fun "useable power at all revs" is, they'd be knocking down the doors at Honda to get one.

That is an old "artists impression" job from a few years ago.
I think we need to cut Honda a bit of slack though. They have released a new CBR that is the ducks guts of IL4's at the moment, and for next year they have announced the V5 VFR.
I too would have liked to see an injected VTR, but looks like it was not to be.

I don't think Honda has "announced" anything about a V5 VFR, at least nothing whatever I can find. MCN has their usual phony baloney, plastic banana photo shop fantasy, but I'll believe it when I see it.
I could live with the gimmicky extra cylinder (but doubt there will be one) if Honda is smart enough to shave 50 lbs. from and add 20-30 peak H.P. and a LOT more grunt to the current VFR.

Undertail exhaust ala CBR1000RR. And yes, that was one of MCN's photoshopped bikes.
I too am a little disappointed with Honda's lineup. One of their new bikes, the CRF230M looks to be a fun bike, but at the same time lacking. A 230 motor for the street is alright, but there's definately no hooligan status! Its sister, on the other hand, the 230F, makes for a fine trail bike.

It'll depend largely on how Ducati rebounds I think. Our beloved Superhawks came to be because of the success Duc had at stealing marketshare away from the Japenese I4's with a slower, twice as expensive 916. If they come back like that then you'll see them revisit twins. Ducati isn't having much trouble winning with them, just with selling them like they used to.

the thread starting suzuki gladius 650 is a real bike for 09' (not just a concept)
from the suzuki homepage

i'll be watching my dealer so I can sit on one.
kudos to suzuki for innovating a desirable scoot.
i wish it were a liter but realistically even a .65 liter should be enough
