VTR Back 2 VFR

I miss the Superhawk already but I missed my VFR even more, so my 50th birthday present from my wife was any bike I wanted. I almost kept my 12,000 mile Superhawk after testing 30 bikes at Daytona. Finally, after weighing every concievable option I went with a 2007, 25th anniversary VFR.

The most significant factor was the need for primo passenger accomodations for my wife. She loved riding on the back of my 01 Interceptor and the 07 is in the same league.

Loved the digital/analog dash on the way home.

Missed the torque.

Loved the velvety V4 motor.

Missed the Diablo Corsas (020 stones aint the same).

Will love the signature high RPM wail of the VTEC V4.

Will miss the signature rumbling exhaust of the V-twin.

I foolishly sold my last Interceptor after repairing it from a low side. Never again.

I'm still proud to be a member of this forum and I will keep coming back since I have friends who ride Superhawks.

There's more than one VFR inside these walls so don't be a stranger. Life has been good to me that I have both. If I had to choose which - I really don't know. The VFR is mostly bone stock but mileage wise is nearly new. The VTR is almost modded to the point where I want it mechanically - anything new from here will be eye-candy.

I want to do some mods to the VFR next to make it a little better at what it already does well. They are such different motorcycles. The Superhawk (at least my .02) isn't nor ever was a good two-up machine. Both the tricolor and the deep red on the new Interceptors are just killer. Enjoy the ride!

I have an Interceptor and a Superhawk as well. I use the VTR for canyon blasting and the VFR for sport touring, although each bike is fully capable of either. Congrats on a nice bike - now get some nice slip-on's and uncork that awesome V-4 rumble!! Selling my 954 w/ full Micron. Too damn fast for the street!

This is funny! I use the CBR1000RR for canyon blasting and the VTR for sport touring. Damn, and I thought I was old!
