VFR bars.... Which Bar Ends?
Hey guys...
I'm finaly ready to bolt up a set of VFR bars I have had sitting around.... I was wondering which "bar-ends" I need to use... I noticed the bolt used in the ends on the Hawk in much narrower in diameter...
Do I need to get a second set of ends, or just replace the bolt. I'd prefer the weighted ends to keep the vibration down, so I'm trying to aviod buying some 10 buck cheapos off Ebay... anyone whos done the swap.. what have you used?
J.

Re: VFR bars.... Which Bar Ends?
I'm just going through VFR "Bar end hell". Finally got it straightened out and can tell you that they take:
6mm bolt, flush mount type. NOT the 8mm bolt and NOT the bar end with the little locking piece sticking out of the bolt side. The bar end is complete flush.

hey North...
Any suggstions on where to get a set besides a Honda dealer... all the EBAY junk seems to be "universal" fit for multiple bikes, which of course means it won't work... worse comes to worse, I guess I can order from Ron Ayers, but if you found a set that works from somewhere else, let me know please!!!!

Good'ol Lockhart Phillips.
The problem right now is that they are mis-packaging the 8mm bar ends instead of the 6mm. First we thought this was a "one off" mistake so we ordered another set and they did the same thing. My dealer sent off an email to LP and thats where I stand today.
We quadruple checked the catalogue part number.

I previously tried VFR800 bars and while they take the same type of weight and bolt as the Superhawk, those bars were higher than the 750 bars and interfered with the fairing too much for my tastes. The 97 750 bars work fine with just a little interference, but I had to buy different weights and bolts.
