Exclamation Tell me if you have heard this before

99 honda superhawk....

I was riding down the street probably 2nd gear and all of a sudden i started hearing a real loud clunk clunk clunk!!! So i went about thirty feet more and pulled into the nearest parking lot.. So i thought maybe i ran it out of oil or something like that.. I check and it was good. So i tried to start it again to see if it would duplicate.. And for sure it did.. real loud clunk immediately.. So my first guess is judging from the sound and area.. That the timing chain came off! Not sure if this is possible or not... So i took it to a local motorcycle shop just to have one of my buddys look at it.. So he told me to try and start it so he could listen.. so when i was starting it i was making the same loud clunk and fired up and continued to make the loud clunk.. so i killed it immediately.. Just wondering if anyone has came across this same problem.. Any thoughts or advice would be very appreciative!!!

Cam chain jumping off the sprockets? Typical CCT problem.
