a superhawks always better

my buddys and i have been trying our stand up wheelies. i just power on in to one in 3rd gear easy due to the torqe but all my freinds ride inline fours and have to clutch it up. but i got a call saturday night and my friend tells me he dumped his 2002 honda 919 going a 100mph hes fine but still kind of funny because up until now i was the only one to lay a bike over. heres some pics he washed it before i got there so it doesnt look that bad. the clutch lever assembly gone, tank crushed, sliders 1 1/4 " ground down and the rearset 3/4 " ground down. the good thing was he was wearing his leathers. just a little road rash on his ankle due to the fact that he thinks he looks cooler in ankle sock and skate shoes.a superhawks always better-bike-013.jpg

My hawk must be running like ***** if you are able to power wheelie in 3rd gear... I can't squeeze one out in 2nd...

...or maybe it ain't the bike that lacks the *****, it's me?

cripes, he walked away from 100 MPH with some road rash? that boy better buy some lotto tickets because he's one lucky ****.

I can't wheelie in 3rd either, although I haven't practiced wheelies too much in any gear.

1st gear power wheelies= no problem
2nd gear clutch up= no problem
no power wheelies in second for me. I am not trying to bounce em up or stand ups. Maybe that would be better for second or third gear non clutch wheelie.

Second gear power wheelies with a tug but clutching up is much easier. 15/43 combo for me.
