Superhawk Video
A couple weeks ago me and my buddy ( the guy on the Gixxer) finally made it up to the north Ga mountains ( THE LOOP ) . The roads are incredible ! All curves & elevation changes ! A lot of bikes & not too many cars . And a small run in with GA State Patrol but I will save that video for another time ! Enjoy ...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6r8juJjfKY

Yeah, you looked like you know what you're doing and are skilled and careful. Hell, you ride a Superhawk! That alone shows a marked lack of squidlyness.
No offense intended, I just cringe everytime I see or think of a rider's head in the oncoming lane.

None taken , I just wanted to assure you guys that I try to be as safe as possible ( even when riding faster than the speed limit) I try to be calculated rather than just stupid fast . And yes we did see plenty " " up there . Matter of fact we had a dude pass us on a ZX10 right before a blind 35 mph corner ( which he took it about 15 to 20 mph faster than I did), which if that wasnt scary enough.. he had his girlfriend on the back ! He was flying , I wasnt sure if I was impressed or scared ( well maybe a little of both) Its one thing to endanger yourself , But I just wont do it to others !

So that's "the loop" that they talk about on the news - so sweet! no wonder it gets so crowded that the cops have to set up speed zones. I have to find a set of curves and turn around and do again 10 times just to simulate that kind of terrain.

I never did comment on the video. You guys were definitely haulin'. It seemed like the pace was quicker with you up front. And even when cutting through two lanes, you got that bike way the heck over. There is definitely a trade-off between choosing your line and sticking with it, and leaning the bike over as far as possible. It's nice to make more room to stand the bike up in case something unexpected happens mid-turn. Anyway, cool video. Would be curious about the trooper segment...

That's just a third of it.

Yeah, that's the run up Blood Mountain from the Dahlonega side. It's my favorite, too. Much better than Deal's Gap, in my opinion, which is too tight for my tastes. Having an extra lane to pass traffic easily is part of what makes it so fun. There are tons of good rides in N. Georgia, western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee.

Hey Killer5280 & Darkzone22 we should meet up one weekend and head up there ! Kind of a mini SHOG ride. Wouldnt it be cool to see and hear a few Superhawk V-twins roaring through the turns as opposed to the usual screaming of Inline 4s ?

I'd love to, but I rarely ride up there except on weekends for a couple of reasons. I usually work on weekends and it's so much more fun during the week since there is less traffic, fewer cops and fewer squids.
If you want to go during the week I'm game nearly any time.
