Is superhawk reliable weekender?

I don't run it dry, fill up soon after the light goes on, but that's at right around 100 miles....a little more if I ride it easy.

I don't know how much you weigh, DUDE, but some of the heavier guys (200+) on the forum that push the hawk hard through twisties have noticed the suspension (mainly the front) is a bit soft for them. I'm a light weight at 150 with all my gear on, and I haven't had any complaints with the suspension. I should also add that I've got only about 10,000 under my belt, 5k on a 91 katana (my first) and about 5k on the hawk (so far). So my lack of experience with bikes/riding is fairly minimal wich makes ability to give a good descriptive comparison limited. At any rate, the SHawk is a great all-round bike! Good luck with your decision making!

All I have to say is Theres never been a 600 that could follow me thru turns or especially out on a strait when riding the superbird.
